Understand The Exam Format To Excel in CBSE English
Class 10 English examination contains 3 sections that are as follows:
Section A: Reading skills (20 marks) This section contains two unseen passages that students have to attempt multiple choice questions and short answer questions.
Section B: Writing skills with grammar (10 marks) This section contains gap-filling/editing/transformation exercises. Also, formal/informal letter and paragraph writing is needed.
Section C: Language through literature (40 marks) This section contains one extract from drama/prose and one extract from poetry students have to attempt multiple choice questions and very short questions. And also, 4 short questions will come from first flight and 2 short questions will come from footprints without feet. Also, one long question will come from first flight and one long question will come from footprints without feet.
Note: You get internal choices in Sections B and C.

Class 12 English examination contains three sections that are as follows:
Section A: Reading Skills (22 marks) This section contains one unseen passage and one unseen case-based factual passage that students have to attempt multiple choice questions and short answer type questions.
Section B: Creative Writing Skills (18 marks) This section contains notice, formal/informal invitation, letter, and article/report writing.
Section C: Literature Text Book & Supplementary Reading Text This section contains one poetry extract, one prose extract from Flamingo, and one prose extract from Vistas. Also, 5 short answer type questions from Flamingo and 2 short answer type questions from vistas. one long answer type question from Flamingo and one long answer type question from Vistas.
Note: You get internal choices in Sections B and C.
